Reviews from people who were able to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks online have mostly admitted that the movie is probably one of the best classic cartoons that have been depicted on film. Directly based on the characters of the classic cartoon created by Ross Bagdasarian almost fifty years ago since the movie went out, the three adorable singing chipmunks are back and better as produced by Reagan productions.
In the movie, Alvin, Simon and Theodore (voices by Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney, respectively) got accidentally brought out from their forest home and into the house of Dave (Jason Lee), a frustrated composer who lives an unorganized life who was apparently in no condition to welcome three talking chipmunks in his life. But once he discovered that the three could sing as well as they talk, he introduced them to the world of music and fame under the management of Dave's fair weather friend Ian (David Cross). But conflict arouse when Dave started to develop a reluctant yet undeniable concern over the chipmunks as they become overwhelmed by the world of stardom. Ian, not caring about anybody else but himself, tries to buy the innocent chipmunks' love and soon putting them in a miserable trap of getting everything they want but what they really need - the love of the person they have already called family, Dave. But with the help of his neighbor and ex-girlfriend, Claire (Cameron Richardson), Dave finds a way to get his beloved chipmunks back.
But the description alone is not enough to give justice to this great movie, so it would be better if you watch Alvin and the Chipmunks Online. There are tons of old songs that these chipmunks sang in the old cartoons and some new ones made for the movie itself along with other neat stuff.
