Cable station USA Network debuted a worthy successor to these two series in October 2009 with White Collar. Have you watched it?
During White Collar's initial season, the miss-matched duo are assigned cases ranging from jewelry heists to art theft to recovering a stolen Bible. Not only does Caffrey's knowledge of the criminal mind come into play but the convicted felon's "civilian" status enables him to maneuver and con his way through the intricate maze of the storyline while Burke's professionalism keeps the investigation focused and on-track. And despite doubts on Burke's part regarding the sincerity of Caffrey's intentions, as well as Caffrey's occasional mistrust of Burke, the two form a genuine bond of friendship in addition to their successful professional relationship.
Speaking of, do you really think Kate died? We've got a feeling Kate is like a cat with many lives and will come back next season. Maybe she was even in on it and wanted the plane to explode with Neal in it? Wouldn't that be a dark twist? The last couple seconds before Neal was about to board the plane, really had us guessing whether he turned around to stay or to just say good-bye. Either way, we know Fowler is the one behind the bomb. He has to be! But, how will Peter and Neal prove it?
In White Collar, another old acquaintance of Neal's appears and we learned more about him this week. Neal's old enemy, Keller, has been the one sending the chess moves in the mail. A thief is hit by a car and killed on the street, and Neal says it is Keller. That point is ignored halfway into the episode, and isn't revisited again. Instead, a wine bottle competition is far more important than murder. Neal assumes Keller's bottle is fake, so he'll make a fake that's just as good, so the auction house will have to test both and find the truth about both bottles.
This is really the premise of white collar Niel and Peter make a good duo they are witty and come out with entertaining one liners at times but they never loose the serious side through out the entire series it makes them believable characters that you can like they also deliver their lines with great emotion and strength
White Collar is a fascinating series that can keep you on the edge of your seat thought every episode if you haven̢۪t checked it out yet you really should

White Collar follows a recent trend by cable channels to distinguish themselves from the forensic dramas of network television by producing crime series similar to those in the 1970s and 1980s that featured colorful characters and a heavy dose of welcomed humor. Burn Notice on USA Network, for instance, has dashes of Magnum PI and MacGyver thrown into its mix while TNT's Leverage is an enhanced Mission.
